Apparently Enterprise have decided not to buy the place, wonder what will happen now; getting really run down with dire service most of the time.

I hear that the Dukes is up for sale?
How much do they want for it coz Im prepared to give double its true worth! Yes I have saved up my paper round money for 2 months now and can put a firm offer of 50 quid on the table! I know that may seem over the top but what the hell- when yve got it flaunt it hey! Let me know M&B cos I know times are hard! And best dump it before it drops even lower hey........it might be £25 next month.

Dreadful pub these days; spent a couple of hours in here Saturday night; quiet as hell, a scruffy manager running the place, no smiles or anything; and only two male bar staff...one didn't look even 18 and the other as camp as tits. What have M&B done to this place. Toilets attrocious, tiles falling off the walls...could be well popular again if run properly. I mean cheap drinks on a Sat night (Carlsberg £2 a pint etc) and its still dead...says it all.

the palce hasn't been the same since Ron left. the place use to be packed and there was always 8 people working behind the bar. there was always music and karaoke on a sunday use to be great. Michelle did well at keeping that place going but it's still not the same. bring back the old dukes!

Its rubbish, no wonder they are selling it. Certainly wont be much use when the new Wetherspoons opens across the road! Whoops!

Whats happened to the Dukes...the mgt couple have ruined the place in my opinion. Poor service, pretty unfriendly to non regulars.Poor varied entertainment...
