There's a lot more in store at Age Concern -- Did you know that there are advice sessions?.
On Mondays, Evelyn, your local information volenteer is present between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm and she is happy to have a chat (in a private interview room) about any issues that may be worrying you.
Tuesday between 10 am and 12 noon is Legal Advice Morning. Local Solicitors are available to offer basic legal advice to people over 60, free of charge.
On the second Thursday of each month senior citizens get the chance to receive advice about welfare benefits from trained advisers, at monthly Advice Surgeries.
On the last Thursday of the month is a Trading Morning, when people over 50 can come along and find out more about Age Concern Insurance Services, Energy Services, Holidays and the other products on offer.

From Felixstowe to Mildenhall, Sudbury to Lowestoft Age Concern Suffolk is looking for over three hundred new volunteers, to assist in a number of different roles such as charity shop work, befriending, Tea Room drop-in-centre, information, advice and advocacy work and helping its affiliated lunch clubs.
It asks from just one hour a week to whatever you can offer to assist in its busy, friendly shops and to meet the increasing demand for its caring services. In return, it provides training, the chance to meet and make friends and new learning in addition to using your own skills and a chance to help your community.
If you are looking for paid employment, volunteering is a great way of enhancing your CV, as Age Concern Suffolk provides a task description, training and references.
- Charity shops, requiring urgent extra help are in Ipswich, Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds, Mildenhall, Felixstowe and a new one in Stowmarket.
- Befriending Services, based in Ipswich, Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Lowestoft and Sudbury requiring new volunteers who can give from just one hour a week.
